Introduction
Here are some of our most common questions. Be sure to look for the answer to your own questions here before you ask an admin or another member. If you can't find the answer you're looking for here though, we'd be happy to help!
Q: Can I have any user-name?
A: Yes, as long as it's not inappropriate. Your user-name doesn't have to be your character's name, or even make sense if you don't want it to. However, keep in mind that you have to log in with your user-name, so make it something you'll remember. Your user-name isn't the same as your display name, which can be changed at any time. Your user name is what you log in with, your display name is what people see when you post. Remember, as well that while you can use anything for your display name as well, this is what people are likely to call you, so pick well!
Q: Why is the Nexus called Timbre Ridge?
A: 8I Because.
Q: If Timbre Ridge's 'Dregs' are exclusive, does this mean that only those with an invitation can visit?
A: The Dregs is exclusive in terms of supernatural folk vs. regular towns people. Most of the normal people of Timbre Ridge don't know about The Dregs, at least, not yet anyway. However, there is an open invitation from the Verondi Family for all those who have come through the Rift, as well as the local spooks in Timbre Ridge to visit The Dregs, as long as they behave. However, violent groups, such as The Cry may be barred from The Dregs, aside from a few select individuals who the Warren has decided are trustworthy.
Q: Where can I roleplay besides the Dregs?
A: While the Dregs is the Social Hub of Timbre Ridge's supernatural world, there are many other places that characters can frequent as well! Each WereGroup, for example, has their own species specific meeting place, and a Were looking to find others of his or her kind might try there. Timbre Ridge also has a local lake amongst other things, and miles and miles of Woodland. In other words, get creative! If you need ideas though, take a look at the Local Species Guide for specific examples of Were meetings spots, or perhaps a peek at Timbre Ridge's Town Map!
