In the field just beyond Lake Verondi, the tall grass sways around the base of a sturdy iron fence that simply wasn't there days before. The gate, currently, is locked, but beyond it, in the wide expanse of the field, hazy figures are busy tamping down grass and hammering stakes into the rocky South Dakota ground. They only seem to work at night, and in the daytime, the area is deserted. If one listens though, one might catch snatches of jaunty carnival music during warm summer nights, though the source of it doesn't seem to be anywhere in sight. It looks like the area is still closed. They must be still setting up. [ Site event will be open officially the first of October, but check back often for updates and tidbits of what's to come!]
